A Brevo alternative for lists that grow
Brevo and Kubo Mail both charge by email volume, but not in the same way: Kubo Mail charges only for the emails you send each month, with no contact cap and no logo on paid plans, and that shows when your list grows. Here is the math with the prices on the official websites, including where Brevo comes out cheaper.
If your list grows, this is what changes
The differences that do not depend on the fine print, with the full math further down. And at the end, where Brevo wins.
- Mid-sized and large lists: with 2,500 contacts and 4 campaigns a month (10,000 emails), Kubo Mail costs $15 a month against $25 for the cheapest Brevo plan that covers it, 40% less. With 50,000 contacts (200,000 emails), $89 against $249: 64% less. In the middle (10,000 contacts and 40,000 emails) the gap is small, a few euros a month: it is in the table.
- No logo on paid plans: your emails go out without “Sent with Kubo Mail”. Brevo’s Starter sends with its own, and removing it costs extra: with 10,000 emails, $25 with the logo or $37 without it, against $15 on Kubo Mail (59% less than Brevo without the logo).
- Unlimited contacts on paid plans: a bigger list does not move you up a plan, only the emails you send count. On Brevo, with 2,500 contacts you have to go to the 15,000-email tier even if you send less.
- One complete plan: the same features on every plan, and the only thing that changes is how many emails you send a month. On Brevo, the logo, the users and the automation change with the plan.
- Where Brevo wins: with a small list (500 contacts and 8 campaigns, 4,000 emails a month) Brevo’s Starter, with its logo, costs $9 against $15 on Kubo Mail. And if you need SMS, a CRM, automations or landing pages, Brevo has them today and Kubo Mail does not.
How each one charges
Kubo Mail
- By the emails of each month: each message to a person counts as one.
- Unlimited contacts on paid plans; on Free, up to 2,500.
- Unlimited users on paid plans, each with their own role; on Free, 2.
- Every feature on every plan: the only thing that changes is how many emails you send a month.
Brevo
- By monthly email volume, in tiers from 5,000. The first ones carry a contact cap: 500 with 5,000 emails, 1,500 with 10,000 and 2,500 with 15,000; from 20,000 emails, up to 500,000 contacts.
- A Free plan (up to 300 emails a day), Starter, Standard, Professional and Enterprise.
- Starter allows one user and sends with the Brevo logo unless you pay for its removal option. Standard removes it at no cost, adds automation, A/B testing and a landing page, and allows up to 3 users.
- Professional starts at 150,000 emails a month and includes 10 users; Enterprise is custom.
- Billed yearly, 10% less.
What you would pay with your list
Four example lists, with the same assumptions for both. From Brevo we take the cheapest plan that covers the case, with its emails and its contact cap: that is why Starter with its logo, Starter paying the option to remove it and Standard all appear, and the cheapest of the three is the one we compare against. List prices, no promotions.

When each one fits better
Brevo fits better if…
- You want marketing automation, content A/B testing and landing pages: Brevo has them from Standard. Kubo Mail has no automations or landing pages today (it does have subject A/B testing).
- You also want to send SMS (credits sold separately) or WhatsApp (from Professional).
- You want a sales CRM in the same account: Brevo sells Sales packages, one of them free.
- You also send transactional emails, by API or SMTP: Brevo includes them on every plan.
- Your list is small and you send little: Starter, with its logo, can come out cheaper, as the first case above shows.
Kubo Mail fits better if…
- Your team is more than one person: Starter allows one user and Standard up to 3. In Kubo Mail, users are unlimited on paid plans, each with their own role.
- You do not want your contact count to push you up a tier: on Brevo, with 2,500 contacts you have to go to the 15,000-email tier even if you send less. In Kubo Mail, contacts do not count on paid plans.
- You want your emails without a logo on any paid plan: “Sent with Kubo Mail” only appears on the Free plan, while Brevo’s Starter asks you to pay for an option to remove its own.
- You want proof of consent for every contact: where they came from, when, and which text they accepted.
How to move over from Brevo
Kubo Mail imports any CSV with an email column: export your list from wherever you have it and upload it. The import cleans misspelled, disposable and duplicate addresses and respects anyone who already unsubscribed. Only contacts who gave their consent. Your emails will go out from your own domain, authenticated with DKIM.
Frequently asked questions
Is Kubo Mail cheaper than Brevo?

What is the difference between Brevo’s plans and Kubo Mail’s?
On Brevo, features and the logo change with the plan (automation and A/B testing from Standard, and on Starter the Brevo logo is removed by paying for an option), and the first tiers carry a contact cap.
